Introduction
Not all rack cabinets have the same depth. Some rack cabinets are shorter, some are deeper. That is the same with rackmount equipment. You never know what you are going to get until you actually install it in your cabinet. If you are lucky, it fits perfectly inside your rack cabinet. The chance are that your cabinet might be just a couple of inches deeper than your rackmount equipment supports. In this kind of situation, you will need a RACK EXTENDER. A rack extender is a pair “U” shaped brackets design to extend a section of the rear vertical mounting rails to reach your rackmount equipment's mounting brackets.
IAB104K1 is ideal for this situation when your rackmount equipment cannot reach your rear vertical mounting rails. IAB104K1 offers you additional 2” to 3" adjustable extension depth you need to properly install your rackmount equipment. IAB104K1 is engineered for use in any standard 19”, 23” or 24” rack cabinets. It is constructed with heavy duty 14 Gauge steel with a black powder paint finish. It has oval holes on one side supporting M5, M6, 10-32 and 12-24 rack screws. The square cage nuts holes on other side supports standard cage nuts such as M6, #10-32 and #12-24 for heavier weight support.
IAB104K1 is a two-piece design for adjustability as well as weight support. The ”L“ shape bracket offers adjustability for your 19” or 23" rack or cabinet. It offers different mounting holes for fine depth adjustment. The 2nd piece is using our IAB104V10-1U with enhanced mounting holes on it. IAB104K1 offer excellent weight support due to the “U” Shape design. Combinations of both with 10-32 rack screws and hex nuts offer excellent weight support without adding additional cost. It allows you to extend a section of the cabinet mounting rails to accommodate your rack equipment.
