You need to make the 23” opening smaller to fit your new 19” rack equipment. In this kind of situation, Rack Reducer is what you need to complete your installation.

What is Rack Reducer

Rack Reducer is a simple bracket which bridging the gap opening between your 19” wide rack equipment to the 23” wide telecom cabinet. Basically, you have a 2” wide brackets install on right and left hand side of your 23” wide telecom cabinet. This bracket allows you to mount a 19” wide rack equipment into a 23” wide 2 Post Relay Rack or 4 post telecom cabinet.

RCB1065S is design for small net working equipment in mind. On the vertical rail side, it comes with both circle holes as well as oblong holes for mounting your 23” cabinet rack screws. The circle holes are the primary mounting holes for RCB1065S. It supports #10-32, #12-24 and M6 rack screws. This hole ensures that our brackets does not move or shifting position after installation. The Oblong slots are for width adjustment if your cabinet is not exactly 23” wide or the rack equipment is not exactly 19” wide. The oblong slots also provide addition weight support. RCB1065S can be use in both 4 Post cabinet as well as 2 Post relay rack. Please review application note below to determine if our bracket is suitable for your application need.
On the equipment side, it comes with 9.5x9.5mm square cage nut holes. They are compatible with 10-32, 12-24 and M6 cage nuts. The spacing between square holes comply with EIA310 rack spacing standard. mounting hardwares are included.
