RSF1041BK11S4K2 1U rackmount ball bearing sliding shelf is design for application which requires frequent access to equipment inside the rack. The key advantage is the ability to pull out the rack shelf to gain access to all sides of your equipment for service, maintenance or upgrade. If your equipment is mounting on a traditional rack shelf, you only have access to either front or rear side. Accessing your equipment from side will be difficult especially if you have other rack equipment install above or below your rack shelf. You might have to fully disassemble your equipment in order to gain access. This is where sliding shelf comes in and save the day. With a sliding shelf, you can simply pull your equipment out of server rack. This gives you total access to your equipment quickly and easily. When you are finished, you can simply slide it back and secure it.
Safety is the most important part of our design for RSF1041BK11S4K2. Unlike other rack shelf manufactures, our shelf has built in anchor slots design for bungee cord with hook and cable straps. Bungee cord offer easy and simple way to secure your equipment quickly. Our anchor system ensures safety for you and your equipment. (note: bungee cord and cable straps are not included)
In addition to our anchor system, our RSF1041BK11S4K2 can be lock in place using thumb screws located at both side of the front panel when it is fully retracted. This prevents RSF1041BK11S4K2 from accidentally sliding out in any kind of situation. When our RSF1041BKS4K2 is fully extended, it also has a safety feature to lock itself in place. When the sliding shelf is pull out beyond 16.93”, the stop tab will engage and stops shelf from moving further. This feature also ensures sliding shelf does not closed by itself while in use. By holding down the stop tab, you can fully detach sliding shelf from the rail.
Our sliding rail system use a metal clip that clicks when it is in locked position. Most of other low cost sliding shelf manufactures use a plastic clip instead. We believe that using a metal clip is a better choice to ensure our sliding rail stops when it is fully extended.
